Hi, I’m Brett, the founder and chief party planner of KikiBoxes.
For as long as I can remember, friends and colleagues have asked me to help plan their parties, whether they needed elegant, super fun, or just some last-minute ideas. My work on the sets of hit TV and feature film projects, most notably Sex & The City, Maid in Manhattan, and the first Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, often inspired some really fun and wildly creative ideas while my stints as an event planner and landscape designer helped me stay on deadline and on budget.
I didn’t really consider starting my own party planning business, however, until I became a parent. I’ve produced an annual breast cancer gala for 250 people and organized all the details of a two week, destination, ‘camp themed’ 40th birthday party, but throwing my daughter’s Frozen Princess party had me the most stressed I’d ever been. Why? Because I cared so much about making her feel truly special. The good news is, she did. The bad news is I had focused so much on sourcing party favors and inspiration boards that I missed out on some of the memory making. Enter KikiBoxes, inspired by my first daughter’s nickname.
KikiBoxes are crafted to take the stress out of planning, so you can enjoy the celebration. Each box is loaded with chic, boutique party products that are essential for making your child’s dream theme party a success. Much of the inspiration now comes from Kiki, her little sister (nicknamed Papaya!) and their friends. But helping other parents be truly present for the celebration will always be the mission.
Make your next party a Kiki!
